Singing the Most Famous Anthem '23

On July 6, 2023, we sang the National Anthem loudly in Nene Park. On this sunny and warm evening, we all felt like a special part of the community. Together, we played outdoor games, "built" castles, adorned ourselves with crowns, socialized, and had a great time!

Easter in the Park

On April 9, 2023, the Peterborough Lithuanian Community invited everyone to celebrate Easter together at Nene Park. The event "Easter in the Park!" welcomed nearly 300 participants of various ages. Families enjoyed various entertainments, games, and a wonderful atmosphere!

Celebration of February 16th

The festive program for February 16, 2023, took place next to the city river at the Key Theatre. In the 5-day festive program, every visitor could find an activity to enjoy - from visiting an exhibition featuring a variety of exhibits, contemporary photographs of Lithuania, and videos, to children's workshops where the little ones could read books, fold origami, play with balloons, color, weave bracelets, engage in sports, and have fun in many other ways. The celebration was crowned with a two-part concert. The first part featured beloved local dancers, performers, and guests from Milton Keynes, as well as a dance group from the Latvian community. The second part was graced with live music from a jazz band. Wonderful moments from the event continued to delight the hearts of all visitors and participants for a long time.

Celebration of January 13

On January 13th, we invited everyone to the event "Freedom and Forget-Me-Nots," dedicated to commemorating the Day of the Defenders of Freedom. The event took place in the beloved Nene Park.

With a minute of silence near the oak planted by the Peterborough Lithuanian community, we honored those who fell defending freedom.

On the outdoor terrace of the Lynch Lake Community Hub, we lit candles and enjoyed warm tea and cookies, sharing our memories of the events of that day.
